Prayer
Prayer is so important! Yet is so neglected! And prayer against the evil one(s) seems to be at the bottom of the list. In Eph. 6 the section of spiritual warfare it ends with praying for all the saints.
What do we pray? Do we pray about spiritual warfare that effects all the saints? We should! So here we are armoured up blocking arrows and the sword is ready; the enemy flees James 4:7, all is quiet. What next?
Celebration? Well yes in thanks to our Lord Jesus and the Father, Almighty God. Which is prayer. But now we need to move on to praying for the saints.. Think about this you have just repelled the enemy, you held the line, your personal line, the enemy has moved! A victory! Yet this is just a small victory (important) in a small battle but the war still rages!
The enemy may have retreated from you, but has moved on to battle someone(s) else. So the need for prayer! The enemy attacks in so many ways. Seeds of doubt, insecurity, pity, the list is long and not to mention trying to lead us into sin. He's trying to kill, steal and destroy! Not just you, me but all the saints! When it is quiet in your neck of the woods over the hill the battle is raging! Tom and Agnus are facing the arrows.. Here's the thing they might not even know their under attack, maybe their so tired, maybe their armour is off, maybe and maybe. They need prayer, spiritual warfare prayer! they need help with the battle! When we see a brother or sister struggling, the enemy is working. Spiritual prayer is needed for them now. The enemy is unrelenting our prayers should be unrelenting in this area.
